Almost 10 000 participants from 80 cities and 900 start-up companies took part in the intensive "Archipelago 2121"

The project and educational intensive "Archipelago 2121" was held in Veliky Novgorod from July 21 to August 10, 2021 as part of the Year of Science and Technology in Russia. This year's intensive consisted of several tracks, including social and technological projects, knowledge-intensive territories, creative industries, a green economy, as well as the digitalization of cities and regions. The events were held in a hybrid online and offline format. As a result of the event, an updated image of the country's future for the next 100 years was created and presented, new projects and mechanisms for the development of universities and cities were developed.

As a result of the teamwork on the tracks, the following projects were developed and presented:

  • Regional Technological Development - the national hub for the export of FoodNET market technologies “Foodfort - St. Petersburg” - the project is based on the idea of creating an export market for food technologies at the intersection of biotech, IT and personalized nutrition to increase life expectancy.

  • Green Economy - North-West Circular Economy Initiative | The North-West Initiative for the Implementation of the Circular Economy "- the goal of the initiative is to create conditions for preventing / overcoming the negative consequences of global climate change by stimulating the transition to a circular economy model in the pilot regions of the North-West Federal District. A comprehensive initiative is being developed within the framework and with the support of the LALALPETE project.

As a part of the final event of the Archipelago, track initiatives were presented to the heads of the ASI and the regions - Svetlana Chupsheva, General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Dmitry Peskov, Special Representative of the President of Russia, Kirill Soloveichik, Chairman of the Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg, Dmitry Yalov, Vice-Governor of the Leningrad Region and other high-ranking participants of the event.

As a result of the work of Archipelago 2121, more than 200 projects were taken by ASI for individual support. We are sure that the projects developed in the North West Federal District of the Russian Federation, with the support of the ASI and regional administrations, will become flagship initiatives.
